Fear to Flow
A gentle introduction to open water for people who’ve been held back by fear, bad experiences, or simply never felt it was for them.
Where It Begins
Whether you’ve never been in open water, avoid it even though you can swim, or feel uneasy near the sea or lakes, Fear to Flow is where things can shift.
This isn’t a swim lesson.
It’s a calm, supportive weekend that gives you space to try things out, take your time, and feel more in control around water without pressure or judgement.
Led by trained instructors who understand fear, exclusion, and cultural context, this programme is designed to help you feel more confident in real-life water: the beach, a lake, a river, or wherever you naturally come across it.
Who It's For
14+ we run session for under and over 18’s
People who feel anxious in open water — even if they’re okay in pools
Anyone avoiding travel or group trips involving water
First-time swimmers wanting a safe, inclusive starting point
Those with negative or excluding experiences in aquatic spaces
Pools are predictable. Nature isn’t.
That’s why this programme focuses on outdoor water because that’s what you come across in everyday life. The cold, the light, the movement it can all feel unfamiliar. Fear to Flow helps you work with it, not against it.
